Welcome To
Creating Lasting Skills
Kickstart your puppy’s journey with the best training program in Houston, designed specifically for pups under 6 months old. Set your puppy up for success and leave a lasting impression on friends and family with their impressive training!
When is the right time to start training your puppy? The truth is, it’s never too soon! Training starts the moment your puppy is born. A skilled breeder will begin shaping routines, potty training, and crate habits from day one.
But can a puppy really learn to sit and heel at such a young age? Absolutely! Our trainers begin puppy obedience training with their own pups at just 8 weeks old, and they do it all off-leash from the start!
Your puppy can start training with us once they’ve had their second round of vaccinations, typically between 9 and 12 weeks old.

Create a Well-Mannered and Joyful Pup
Manners at Home
The first focus of our puppy training is house manners. We aim to ensure that puppies are calm, sweet, and well-behaved inside the home, avoiding any mischievous behavior! This category includes teaching puppies to remain calm indoors, discouraging running or rough play. House manners also cover preventing undesirable habits like bolting out doors, jumping on people, excessive barking, stealing food from tables, rummaging through the trash, chewing on household items, nibbling fingers and toes, or jumping on furniture. Additionally, we make sure puppies learn to potty outside, not on your favorite rug.
Obedience Training
Our second category of puppy training is obedience. We focus on building essential foundation skills to shape your puppy into the dog of your dreams. In addition to the behaviors listed above, we work on the following commands:
Leash Walking – We teach your puppy not to pull on the leash and encourage them to stay attentive to you, even with distractions in public spaces.
Name Recognition – Your puppy will learn to look at you when their name is called, and we’ll begin training them to come when called!
Sit/Stay and Down/Stay – For sit/stay or down/stay, we expect your puppy to follow the command after hearing it once. Instead of a traditional stay, we teach a release marker. This means that regardless of distractions like other dogs or people, your puppy will remain in the position until we give the release marker.
Climb Command – The climb command provides your dog with a simple task during the day and offers them a safe place when you’re cooking or expecting guests.
Quiet – The quiet command helps your puppy understand when it’s time to stop barking or whining.
Leave It/Drop It – A vital command for when your puppy picks up things like sticks or rocks that they shouldn’t be chewing on.
Wait – Wait is used to teach your dog not to bolt out of doors, jump out of the car, or dash out of their kennel. It signals that they should pause until we indicate it’s time to move.
We also teach all our dogs, including puppies, commands like yes, no, and release markers.

Dog Social Skills
Our third category of puppy training is social skill building. In this phase, we focus on teaching puppies to be friendly with other dogs while understanding proper play behavior. This includes learning to recognize when another dog wants to be left alone or isn’t interested in playing, and how to respect those boundaries. We also introduce our puppies to various surfaces and environmental stimuli, including pools, slick tiles, inflatable objects, bicycles, and more. Additionally, we expose them to different animals such as horses, deer, goats, cats, and squirrels, helping them become well-adjusted and confident in diverse situations.
Building a confident dog
Our fourth category of puppy training is confidence building. We aim to strengthen our young puppies’ confidence in handling sudden loud noises, such as fireworks, gunshots, or even a pan clattering to the floor. Confidence building is about teaching dogs to problem-solve rather than respond with fear or anxiety. For example, a pool filled with empty water bottles may seem intimidating to a young puppy, but helping them work through that fear builds resilience. By addressing these challenges, we help them become more well-rounded and confident as they grow.
Proper Handling Etiquette
Our fifth category of puppy training is handling manners. We want our puppies to enjoy grooming time with their owners, turning it into a calm and pleasant experience rather than a struggle. Puppies learn to stay relaxed in our arms instead of wiggling or trying to escape. We teach them to stay calm during nail trimming and ear cleaning, as well as during small tooth and eye checks. We also introduce bath time by showing puppies how to remain still while being bathed, without clawing their way out of the tub or shaking water everywhere. At the end of the bath, we give the command “shake it off,” signaling when it’s okay for them to shake and dry off.
